A-Z: Fool’s Gold

Buried treasure.  Diving in the Bahamas.  Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey.

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson team up once again in Fool’s Gold.  Their chemistry is undeniable – they really do make a cute couple!!  McConaughey plays a drifter, Finn, and Hudson plays his newly divorced wife, Tess.  Finn is a treasure hunter who has been searching for a Spanish galleon that was lost at sea.  Tess is a steward on The Precious Gem, a yacht owned by multi-millionaire, Nigel Honeycutt (Donald Sutherland).

When he finds a clue as to the whereabouts of the galleon, Finn talks Honeycutt into bank rolling his hunt.  Caught up in the fever for the treasure hunt, Tess and Honeycutt’s daughter, Gemma (Alexis Dziena), join in the hunt.

Racing to find the treasure, they realize they aren’t the only ones looking for the galleon.  Competing to find the treasure are a local gangster and Finn’s old mentor.  Can Finn save Tess?  Will they find the treasure?  Will they survive the hunt?

Check out the movie!!!

  1. I guess the letter is ‘F’. I saw the earlier movie and this one sounds like a winner. Funny how it’s most children’s dreams to find treasure on an old galleon. Is it something buried in out psyche?

  2. Oh yeah baby – Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey are excellent together. “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” was perfection in casting and a good script. “Fools Gold” was watchable mainly due to the cast (IMHO). Can’t wait to see what others movies are in your alphabet.
